Easy-Peasy

Tony Hinson is a teenager with Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism. His developmental disorder is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, nonverbal communication and muscle coordination. Due to an accident when he was 14, he is also confined to a wheelchair.

He has challenges, to be sure. However, Tony has also been blessed with above-average intelligence, a keen eye for details and a single-purpose focus. He and others who surround him have a choice about how to deal with his limitations, as well as his gifts.

Tony’s passion is solving crimes. Thankfully, a special detective sees his gifts and they share a unique bond. Read along to see how Tony, despite being young, socially challenged and wheelchair-bound, addresses a myriad of crimes.

Temple Grandin, an American scientist with a form of autism, wrote: “I am different but not less.” That is what Tony and others find out in Easy-Peasy.
